We are so proud to announce our partnership with Oregon Food Bank, a non-profit organization whose mission is to eliminate hunger and its root causes. This will allow Too Good To Go users to make monetary donations to Oregon Food Bank directly through the app, which will support the organization’s systemic approach to ending food insecurity. Over the past year, the Oregon Food Bank Network worked with more than 1.6 million individuals experiencing hunger throughout Oregon and Clark County, Washington.

Through this new app feature, Oregonians can take action against food insecurity and climate change as easily as:

1. Reserving a Surprise Bag pick-up (saving one meal is equivalent to the CO2e of fully charging a smartphone 422 times); and

2. Clicking “Donate” on the app’s homepage to support Oregon Food Bank.

This is an easy, tangible way for Oregonians to make a difference in reducing food waste and ensuring that surplus food can be repurposed for families facing food insecurity.
